Karachi: The President of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Giles Clarke expressed his pleasure on the arrival of first Test playing team to Pakistan – Zimbabwe- in six years. He also praised the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shaharyar Khan for his ‘diplomatic skills’. “I am extremely pleased for all my Pakistani friends and all cricket lovers in Pakistan. I wish all an excellent series and great cricket”, Giles Clarke informed this correspondent, for News One TV.
The Zimbabwe cricket team reached Lahore on Tuesday, to become the first Test playing country to have visited Pakistan after the deadly terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team on March 3, 2009.
Zimbabwe and Pakistan will lock-horns in the opening game of the tour on May 22nd, the first of the two T20i.

Giles Clarke also headed the task force, constituted by the ICC to look into the revival of international cricket in Pakistan. The task force has submitted its recommendations with the ICC in this regard.
